Patriotism

Practical Patriotism means not a mere sentiment or even emotion of love of the motherland but a passion to serve our fellow – country men.

75th Republic Day was celebrated by the teachers, staff and the students of ONGC
Public School with patriotic fervour. The Chief Guest Shri.Uday Paswan ED cum Asset Manager, ONGC Cauvery Asset, Karaikal, the Guest of Honour Shri. Joseph Raj General Manager (HR) ONGC Cauvery asset Karaikal, the Correspondent Shri. Kannan, the Principal and the Vice Principal received a warm welcome from the primary students who dressed themselves as freedom fighters and the school troop.


The dignitaries on the Dias lighted the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony. The Chief guest Shri.Uday Paswan ED Cum Asset Manager,ONGC Asset, Karaikal, hoisted the national flag and honoured the potrait of Bharatha Matha with floral tribute and then received the honour from school march Past troop


Invocation rendering Arivilae Thelivu song was sung by school choir. Then the Chief Guest and the Guest of honour were felicitated by the Correspondent and the Principal. Vice Principal Shri.Edwin Samual rendered the welcome address.

Six teachers of ONGC Public School were honoured with certificates who act as resource persons and guide the government school teachers and students in CBSE Workshop. The Non -Teaching staff were recognized for their long time service with a certificate and the memento. The Correspondent Shri. Kannan welcomed the Chief Guest, teachers and students and conveyed the Republic Day wishes to everyone.

Next the Chief Guest Shri.Udaya Paswan ED and Asset Manager, shared his views on Rich Heritage of India. He boasted about the greatness of India. He motivated the students to make a strong society. He insisted all of us to use bicycle as much as possible in order to avoid pollution. He appreciated that ONGC School imparting the quality education to the students. He concluded his speech by motivating the students to work for the Nation and make our Country proud.

The welcome dance was performed by damsels of ONGC Public School. The students brought the stage alive in their passion and love of motherland through their speech. Hindi Speech had been delivered by Habis Mohamed IX-B and Tamil speech by Anuhashini VII-A who highlighted the significance of Republic Day Celebration and Netaji’s Speech before the members of Indian National Army on 4th July 1944.

Then the students put up a spectacular show with patriotic song and dance. The rhythm echoed everywhere in the campus. The synchronization of our dance troop was stunning and the songs evoked strong patriotic sentiments among the audience. The principal proposed the vote of thanks. The Celebration was called off with the National Song Vande Mataram. The entire programme was anchored by Mrs.Annamal and Mr.Jayaprakash. Each and Everyone in the gathering expressed the spirit of unity and secularism on the occasion of 75th Republic Day Celebration.
